Free From Debt...Free For Mission

We take Mission seriously; so seriously we want to eliminate all building debt payments so that money normally going the bank can be freed up to be used in the mission of the church. The overall goal is $1.3 million. Before the dinner on Saturday, April 28, members and friends quietly committed over $300,000 toward that goal. After the dinner, about $60,000 in gifts and pledges came in, bringing the current total to $422,405. This excellent beginning now needs completion through the full participation of members and friends of Montecito Covenant Church.
The ladder propped against the communion table is our marking tool, with each rung marked with a dollar value, the top rung being $1.3 million. Along the edge of the ladder is a Montecito oak leaf, marking our progress upwards each week.
